Hello family, friends, and secret lovers,
We hope you had a great Memorial Day, and boy have we got news for you.
If you were at Zach's farewell show at the Black Rose, you've already
heard this, but the first piece of big news is that yes, after months
of consideration, the band has decided to move to Chicago. This will be
a long transition over the summer and part of fall (you'll see we
already have a few gigs scheduled there), and the actual "move" won't
be until October or so. But to all in West Michigan: Don't forget us!!
We love you all dearly, and we'll keep playing shows here forever. We
just felt, after many long nights of discussion, that we've sort of
hit a wall as far as what we can do in Michigan. We're big dreamers,
and even bigger city people, so this move is exciting for us. We see it
as an opportunity, as well as the natural next step. But aren't leaving
yet, so keep coming out to those shows!
The second juicy bite is regarding the EP we've been talking about for
what seems like forever. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is finally
recorded. We put the finishing touches on it just a couple weeks ago,
and just have to finalize the mix and the artwork over the next week
or two, then it's off to be duplicated so that 1000+ people can share
in what we created with love. We're really proud of the work we've
done, and the clear growth since the last CD, and we won't really be
able to rest until everyone who's been waiting so patiently can have
their copy. It's tentatively titled "Viennas" and our goal is to have
it out by mid-August.
If you haven't heard the new song clips on this site or the preview on
our myspace page yet, do it! Give 'em a listen and please let us know
what you think.
Also, keep your eyes peeled and ears open for news of the release party. We won't lie, it's gonna be huge.
